Renee Kathleen Zellweger

Renee Kathleen Zellweger is a daughter of Kjellfrid Andreassen and was a former midwife and nurse from Norway. She was born on April 25, 1969, in Katy. Emil Erich Zellweger, her father, is a Swiss-born engineer. They were married in 1963. Renee has a brother named Drew Zellweger, a marketing executive who was born on February 15 in 1967. While working in the drama group, Renee became interested in acting. In Austin she also took an acting class and started to consider acting as a career. After graduating, she wanted to go back to acting, but Hollywood is a difficult town to break into, and so Renee determined to stay in Texas, and auditioned for roles around Houston which she was able to grab roles in such films such as Reality Bites (1994) and Empire Records (1995). While working on the sequel to that film, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994), she befriended Matthew McConaughey, another Hollywood rising star. Renee observed him working on a project and decided to audition. The role was given to her in Love as well as 45 (1994). This was a huge success and earned her the respect of many that she decided to move to Los Angeles. Then she was offered a part in The Whole Wide World (1996), which gave her the biggest break of her career. Cameron Crowe was busy with casting Jerry Maguire (1996) which starred Tom Cruise. Crowe was looking at actresses such as Bridget Fonda (Camden Diaz), Winona Ryder (Winona Ryder) and Marisa Tomei, when he was able to see Zellweger's performance from The Whole Wide World (1996). He auditioned Zellweger and was confident that he had found his Dorothy Boyd. Following her success in a few independent films, Renee felt confident enough to make a return to the huge-budget Hollywood film industry. She was in the film alongside Meryl Streep in the tear-jerker One True Thing (1998). She also played a part in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) and starred opposite Jim Carrey, and soon after that, she started dating Jim Carrey. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) - in the leading role.
